Part 1: A new website, designed and built from scratch
The brief
The client needed more than a visual refresh. Their existing website no longer represented the quality of the business and had limitations around performance, mobile usability, search visibility and conversion.
The objective was to design and build a completely new website that looked more professional, loaded faster, worked seamlessly across devices and provided a stronger foundation for future SEO and AI search growth.
What we did
We managed the project from initial design through to development and launch.
The website was designed from the ground up with a strong focus on user experience, mobile responsiveness and conversion.
We then developed and coded the site, creating the required page structure, navigation and functionality while ensuring the website remained lightweight and technically efficient.
Before launch, we completed performance optimisation, mobile testing, technical SEO configuration, metadata implementation, indexing checks and quality assurance across the website.
The result was a faster, more modern and scalable website built to support both the client’s immediate commercial objectives and long-term digital growth.
What we built
The design. A premium look for a premium supplier: a serif display face for headlines over a clean sans-serif for reading, full-width hotel photography, and a calm palette that lets the products do the talking. Every page follows the same grid, so a visitor moving from Hotels to Manufacturing never feels the site change under them.
The pages. Home, Hotels, and a Services family with its own page for each stage of the supply chain: Product Development, Manufacturing, Distribution and Sustainability. Plus Contact, an Insights section for articles, and the legal pages. Each service page has its own address and its own search title, which is what the SEO campaign later built on.
The integrations. A brochure request in the header so a buyer can ask for the catalogue in one click, click-to-call and click-to-email on every page, and a link through to the company’s LinkedIn. Enquiries arrive in the sales inbox.
Behind the scenes. Built on a content management system the Go2London team edits themselves: products, articles and pages change without a developer. Before launch we tuned images, scripts and caching (the 46% cut in load time and the 93/100 mobile score below), set up the technical SEO (clean addresses, metadata, sitemap, indexing) and tested on real phones.
The results
Following the design, development and launch of the new website:
- +52% increase in website engagement
- +38% increase in enquiries within the first three months
- +31% improvement in conversion rate
- 46% reduction in average page load time
- 93/100 mobile performance score achieved after optimisation
- 24 priority search terms gained improved organic positions following launch
- 40% increase in organic traffic within the first three months
Part 2: Organic SEO and AI search
The brief
The client wanted to improve its visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI search platforms. The existing website had limited organic reach, weak visibility for commercially important searches and several technical SEO issues restricting performance.
The objective was to build a stronger search presence, increase qualified traffic and generate more enquiries without relying solely on paid advertising.
What we did
We developed a combined SEO and AI search strategy focused on technical improvements, content optimisation and high-intent search queries.
This included restructuring key pages, improving metadata and internal linking, resolving technical SEO issues, strengthening location and service-based content, and optimising the website for the types of natural-language queries increasingly used across AI search platforms.
The campaign also focused on improving topical authority so that the business could appear more consistently for relevant commercial searches.
The results
Within the first six months, the campaign delivered:
- +64% increase in organic website traffic
- +41% increase in qualified enquiries
- 27 target keywords moved onto page one of Google
- 9 priority search terms reached the top three positions
- +73% increase in visibility across AI-powered search results
- +38% improvement in organic conversion rate
The strongest growth came from high-intent service and location-based searches, helping the business attract users who were already actively looking for its services.
In the client’s words
“We now rank higher for key supplier searches and have started appearing in AI-driven search results.”
