Who we are

Altius Digital is the trading name of Grey Matters AI Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16943393. Our registered office is 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller. You can contact us about your data at privacy@altiusdigital.co.uk or on 020 3996 7026.

Information we collect

We may collect and process the following information:

• Details you give us through our contact form, such as your name, email address and message
• Information you give us when you email, call or book a consultation with us
• Technical data that our hosting provider records automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request
• Anonymous visitor statistics from Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you
• Business contact details that a business has published itself (for example on its website, Google Business Profile or Companies House), when we contact that business about our services

We do not knowingly collect data from children.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Reply to your enquiries and contact requests
• Provide the consultations and services you ask for
• Run, secure and improve our website and services
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations
• Contact businesses that may benefit from our services (see below)

We do not sell your personal data.

Contacting businesses

From time to time we contact businesses that we think may benefit from our services, using business contact details they have published themselves. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests in growing our business, and only in a business context.

• We email companies and limited liability partnerships at their business addresses. We do not send marketing emails or messages to sole traders or partnerships unless they have agreed to hear from us.
• Every message says who we are and how to ask us to stop.
• If you ask us to stop, we will not contact you again. We keep a note of your business email address only so that we do not contact you by mistake.
• If we have not worked together, we delete these details within 12 months of our last contact.

Legal basis for processing

We process personal data under the following lawful bases:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)), where you have chosen to give us information
• Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), where processing is needed to reply to enquiries, run our business or contact businesses about our services
• Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)), where the law requires it

Who we share data with

We only share your data where necessary, including with:

• Our website hosting provider, Netlify, which hosts this website and receives contact form submissions on our behalf
• Plausible Analytics (EU-based), which gives us anonymous website statistics without cookies or personal data
• The email and scheduling tools we use to manage enquiries
• Professional advisers or regulators, where the law requires it

Everyone we share data with must keep it secure and use it lawfully.

International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Netlify, may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we make sure your data is protected, for example through UK adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

Keeping your data safe

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. This website is served over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

1. Access the personal data we hold about you
2. Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
3. Ask us to delete your data
4. Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
5. Ask for your data in a portable format
6. Withdraw your consent at any time
